Planting site 7 was visited by a male Orang Utan. Tbe crew were doing training for our partner’s staff, EcoTravel Sumatra, and they recorded the visit on their cellphones.
The three year old saplings are growing well and soon it will generate a natural corridor for many animals to move between the national park and the fruit trees forest.
The staff of EcoTravel were guided by NFC on the reasons and the activities that are done at the bufferzone. With the presence of this huge male Orang Utan, it helps to bring to point on the changing mindset of the community to protect and conserve their environment.
